Samarian Sunset Cocktail (Liquor.com)
Now this is a very unique cocktail. Using cabbage (making a rum from it) in your cocktail? Wow. Never would've thought of something like that. Very intriguing. I gotta see what it's all about.

1/2 oz Cabbage rum*(created by Combine ½ head purple cabbage, chopped, with 4 oz white rum in a blender, and blend on high until smooth. Strain using a fine-mesh strainer)

I always appreciate secrets or tricks to the trade when it comes to any kind of industry. Marketing is one of the most important aspects, and without that, it's hard to sell an product. If you're into business of any kind, you know that the end of the day you're selling perception for a profit. People want what they can't have, and will aspire to get "The Best." There are some great premium brands on the market, but a lot of them chop things down or add in their own special "ingredients" to basically get you to pay the higher price. If you're familiar with the Dark and Stormy, I had the pleasure of trying a twist on it. However, this rum I had a pleasure of having is called Bayou. It's a rum (sugarcane-based) from Louisiana. Ciroc Summer Colada Review
I'm a little late to the party, but I been meaning to try Ciroc Summer Colada since it dropped. Just got my hands on some Ciroc minis and def tested it. I've seen a bunch of reviews where people generally liked it. However, some people couldn't rock with it on ice. You can definitely tell who are more the connoisseurs and people who drink just to drink. I'm going to keep this short and simple.
Notes: Well, they definitely got the colada down to a science. The Ciroc Coconut from 7 years ago already gave me a kind of pina colada vibe, but something about the formula/taste is very lush/rich. It has a creamy coconut (like the coconut meat) and a pineapple kind of vibe just off of smelling the notes straight out of the bottle. 90/100
Neat: Ok, I first tasted it room temperature. This is without even putting a dab of water to cut it. Honestly, I have to give this 85/100. It was really smooth. Of course, it had that slight burn to it (I mean, it is a vodka), but tasted incredible. What I got from it was the Pineapple right from the start and as you actually digested it, the coconut flavor lingers in the finish. Very cool and subtle, but you can def discern what's what.
Ice: 90/100. You certainly taste the coconut and pineapple blend much better because of the added water to bring out the flavors more. Certainly something I could sip on the rocks without any mixers.
Mixer: Honestly, this pretty much speaks for itself. All you truly need is a splash of pineapple, orange, or even cranberry juice. They all work because anything with pineapple and coconut mixes well. For a serious treat, I would honestly try to use fresher ingredients. Crush some pineapples or squeeze your oranges to get the fresh vibe. Having fresh juice is underrated but this would be the perfect vodka to actually use your freshly squeezed or pressed juice. 95/100
Overall, I give this an A. This is my favorite flavor out of everything. I've always been a big fan of coconut and pineapple. So when you put it together, it's just a colossal event. Diddy, you definitely got one with this! Keep that consistency!

Can Moonshine Make You Go Blind? (Common Man Cocktails)
Now, this is a well thought-out and educational video. I've always heard this "myth" when I was younger. The first shot of shine I had was at the age of 25. I definitely felt something after that drink. It was intense. I think it was a Peach Moonshine (can't give away the details too much on where I got it). However, it's always interesting to learn about the distillation process and how the heat condenses certain things in any kind of hard liquor. As much as I love different libations/cocktails or what have you, history on drinks and the process of making a particular spirit, hooch, hop, malt, or wine certainly gets my gears running. Singapore Sling Cocktail
The open business restaurant in Singapore is one that is currently booming. There’s a wide variety of options available to you whether you want some quick street food on the go or a nice place to dine in – they have it all.
One of the most popular alcoholic beverages that you’ll come across in this country is the Singapore Sling. It’s mostly filled with gin and was supposedly created before 1915. The majority of restaurants in Singapore will offer this drink to accompany a meal.
The true original recipe for this drink is still yet to be determined. There are so many different variations of it that it’s hard to judge which one is the most authentic.
However, the general way to concoct it involves gin, cherry brandy, and some type of juice (predominantly orange, pineapple, or lime).
Many people in the country have heard of it, but no one knows what the true version of the drink is. Amongst all the different people disputing over which recipe is closest to the real one, there’s no arguing when it comes to the creator.
Ngiam Tong Boon was the person responsible for bringing this cocktail into existence and he did so for the Raffles Hotel.
As a result of this fact, many believe that they’re the ones with the most legitimate recipe; however, the dates where Mr. Ngiam Tong Boon conceived this drink is something that brings about further confusion.
Raffles Hotel has declared that the drink was brought to them a little before 1910! Other sources claim it was between 1913 and 1915…

The Perfect Storm Cocktail
Here's a pretty dope cocktail I had the pleasure of trying last week. It's a variation of a Dark n Stormy.
Recipe
1 1/2 oz Gran Marnier
Lime Juice
Ginger Beer
2 drops of Angostura Bitters
*You can even do half and half w/ Gran Marnier and Cointreau if you feel like it.* It kinda adds a bit of a unique tang but the Ginger beer brings some much needed closure to the mix.
At first, I was skeptical but it actually turned out pretty good. I'm shocked at how balanced this tastes.

Dark 'N' Stormy Cocktail
This is by far one of my favorite cocktails to drink. Whether it's in a rocks, highball, or Collins glass, it doesn't matter. People like to mix it up with a regular dark or spiced rum. However, I prefer it with the original Goslings Dark Seal Rum and the matching Ginger Beer. That's how it was originally made in Bermuda. I def love the island vibes with this drink because the spice, the kick, and just that stormy element gives it a certain zone. Authenticity is everything!
