Spicy Banana Breeze

Seeing as I've been on a spiced rum kick as of late, I thought this would be an appropriate drink. It's a nice lil remix to a Rum Bay Breeze (rum, cranberry juice and pineapple juice). So I used two different ingredients and it definitely makes a huge impact on flavor and intensity (proof). Let's get to the recipe:

3/4 oz Spiced Rum
3/4 oz Banana Liqueur (99 schnapps adds potency)
Cranberry Juice
Top with Pineapple Juice

This is extremely tasty but please be wise to sip slow cuz the 99 schnapps has some bite! Enjoy!

Peachy Libre

Now, this came as a complete accident. A friend came over and I had some silver rum and she had peach amsterdam. The only mix we had was cherry coke and some lime juice. So being the mixologist I am..I said why not? It could work!

If you ever had a Cuba Libre, all it basically consists of is rum, coke and a splash of lime juice. This has a subtle remix obviously.

The break down is this:

3/4 oz Peach Vodka
3/4 oz Silver Rum
1/2 oz of Lime Juice
Top off with Cherry Coke

There are a lot of flavor notes in this thing but it's mighty good!

Where can you find a waterfront restaurant in New Jersey for couples?

It's no secret that a visit to the Jersey Shore can reawaken romantic feelings and create the perfect environment for a beautiful, memorable and romantic evening for couples seeking to rekindle their love or simply spend some quality time together. From charming walks along the shore at sunset to a fine dining experience, everything you need for the perfect evening can be found here, including plenty of great restaurants to really set the mood for the evening.

Dining with waterfront views is always a great choice for couples seeking a memorable dining experience, and there are certainly plenty of waterfront restaurants in New Jersey to choose from. But of course, an ocean view isn't the only factor one should consider when choosing the perfect restaurant for the evening. A view of the Atlantic won't make up for bad food, poor service, or a noisy, rowdy atmosphere that does little to foster a romantic spirit.

That's why if you are intending to have a perfect date night out, it pays to do a little research first on some of the waterfront restaurants in New Jersey, in order to ensure that you find the optimal establishment for your date or spouse. And when you're looking for the perfect romantic restaurant for a couple's night out, most experts agree that you can never go wrong with Italian.

So your first step when planning a date night is to look for Italian waterfront restaurants in New Jersey that have great views of the Atlantic, but also a great menu and a warm, comforting atmosphere that helps to create a romantic environment. It's important to ensure that the restaurant you choose has the ideal combination of everything that lends itself to romanticism, because if even one aspect of the restaurant is not feasible, it can quickly turn a romantic evening into a ruined evening.

That's why our vote goes to Ama Ristorante, a mainstay and popular choice amongst both locals and tourists for fine dining and date nights. When you first walk into this waterfront restaurant in New Jersey, you'll feel as though you've been transported to an authentic Tuscan villa, and the gracious hospitality of the staff will certainly lend itself to that notion. Once seated, you'll be basking near the warmth and cozy glow of a wood-burning fireplace, always a great ingredient in a romantic evening.

But one certainly can't discount the food, which can also make or break a great night out for couples. Ama Ristorante certainly doesn't disappoint and their menu feature a great selection of Italian classics, as well as creative updates on traditional dishes. And to compliment the meal, you can select the perfect wine from a handpicked list of estate wines from Italy and other countries.

From the cozy atmosphere to the tasteful, delicious menu, and the many other small touches that mean so much to couples looking for a great night out, one simply can't go wrong when choosing Ama Ristorante from amongst the other waterfront restaurants in New Jersey.

Check out The Restaurant Zone to get a leg up in the food industry

Are you looking for a job in the food industry? Maybe you want to get some great supplies to build your restaurant. Maybe you're a tourist looking for a great restaurant to visit while you're in New York City. If you answered "yes" to any of these inquiries, then The Restaurant Zone is the place for you.

The Restaurant Zone is a great informational site that provides keen insight into restaurant classified services and all related users. Instead of a restaurant doing all of the ground work, the Restaurant Zone helps to distribute different job offerings from restaurants in the area for a solid price. It brings more awareness to potential employees. The listing offered by The Restaurant Zone really helps fill up restaurant jobs.

Additionally, if you want to find something in restaurant classifieds - go to their blog. You'll find a number of great restaurants in NYC, information on the food industry, tidbits on food science, etc.

This is an excellent resource to use. I highly recommend it for an employee looking to obtain a job, employers looking to reach out, and the person that wants some more knowledge on food and where to eat.

Ciroc Pineapple Review

It's been a while since I've done a full liquor review. It took a while but Ciroc has a new flavor called "Ciroc Pineapple" which has been flooding the East Coast since August with the hype. It was recently released around or after Labor Day (depending on your area). I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the product! Let's break down the review.

Flavor: it has a very subtle and sweet Pineapple flavor. I love that it's not overbearing because it would kill the vibe. I still want the vodka presence which is definitely there.

Smoothness: it's extremely smooth to the point where I'm comfortable sipping it neat - without ice. It's seriously one of the liquors that tastes great straight from the bottle even at room temperature.

Mixing ability - to be absolutely honest, this doesn't need much mixing. All you really need is Cranberry Juice (Bay Breeze) and/or Orange Juice to give it a sour bite! You can do both to make it a bad ass kinda madras pineapple mix!

This is def a wild card flavor and I love the vibe it gives you. Coconut is still my favorite one because the cocoloso is just exceptional; however, this is def in my top 3. Overall, I give Ciroc Pineapple an 8.5 out of 10.

Check out Square 1 to Dine and Taste Some Rich Cocktails

Square One isn't just a nice restaurant in Alberta, Canada. It has a unique sense in the food and beverage scene. Often times we do not go to a restaurant solely to get some grub. We want to wind the long week down with a few cocktails and start the weekend on the right foot. A good restaurant takes care in all things even the smallest ingredients. That's why
Square One is not your typical, run of the mill spot. Instead of getting a watered down margarita full of pre-made lime juice or sweet and sour, the ingredients are fresh. The fresher the ingredients, the better the cocktail.

Forget a plain ol' Mai tai with a bunch of crappy mixers. Get real orgeat syrup and a beautiful combination of the right pours to bring out a classy libation. You can always get a beautiful fresh fruit infusion. That will add a bit of kick to your palate. Also, you'll enjoy your beverage soaked in a multitude of fruits. If fresh cocktails are not really your thing, you can always get a nice brew, IPA, or wine to ease in your evening.

Square One is one of those places you need to visit to try quality drinks for a reasonable price. Check out the Facebook page for pictures and even details on different deals.

With a focus on creating fresh juices and syrups and a fun environment, you'll enjoy your cocktail experience to a high level!

Add a crazy kick to your barbecue and bourbon with Big Tony's Seasonings!

When it comes to having an event, it's always great to match the food with the liquor. For example, if you were to do a barbecue, bourbon would be a great way to go. Why? Well, you'll enjoy some great flavors, great seasonings, and hot sauces that go well with the oak/sweet honey flavor of different bourbons. It's a great time. Take a nice company such as Big Tony's Seasonings - they have an excellent array of different sauce choices you can choose. Why not add their Crazy Cousin Chipotle to a nice piece of grilled chicken as you sip a whiskey sour? You'll taste some excellent spices and have that nice bourbon flow with a hint of sour to really round out your palate. The great thing about this site is you'll be able to get great shipping rates and they ship worldwide. If you're outside the states, you can still get an excellent American barbecue feel that rocks in flavor. Check it out and make your evening outstanding!

Bulleit Straight Rye Whiskey Review

Source of pic: Cocktail Enthusiast

Today, I had the utmost pleasure of doing a tasting of this fine spirit. With whiskey, it's hard to find one that has a good balance especially for a price in the 20-25 dollar range.

Anyway, the smell is very refreshing. It reminds me of a winter day in a cabin right near the fireplace.

Taste: nice spice and mint flavor that has a warm bite that doesn't heighten, but rather settles in your mouth. At 90 proof, you'd expect it to burn a bit more -- that's not the case.

I've drank this neat and it went down smooth. I think a tonic or fresh sour mix would work well to complement the flavors. A nice splash of lime juice would be great, too.

Grade: 86/100

Diddy Does It Again With New Diageo Joint Venture, DeLeón Tequila

Now, last year I saw a picture of Diddy with a bottle of Tequila, yet I did not know what way he was going to go. His deal with Ciroc has easily landed him hundreds of millions of dollars. However, I realize his partnership with Diageo surpasses one brand. He and Diageo are looking to take DeLeón Tequila to a new height. Diddy took Ciroc from a 50,000 case to a 2 million case a year brand in a matter of a few years after becoming a global ambassador.

Here's what Diddy said to Forbes about this new partnership:

"With Ciroc, we tested the waters—or, I would say, we dated..“Now, with this joint venture, we took this step and we got married. I think it’s organic, I think we work together so well, we have a proven track record, and I wouldn’t want to do it with anybody else."

Due to the passion and breakout success of the previous partnership, Diageo North America President Larry Schwartz co-signed Diddy's intuitive nature:

"When Sean shared his passion with DeLeón with me, I got really passionate, and then a whole lot of people at Diageo got really passionate about it.."

Both sides invested money into buying DeLeón Tequila, so it's more of a traditional joint venture than Ciroc. Diddy is really a trailblazer..can't wait to hear more about this brand and taste it
