Yup, I know this quite a bit late, but this is still a great cocktail especially for the winter. Great recipe on A Beautiful Mess. Picture from there as well.
Their recipe includes:
2 parts peppermint schnapps
2 part Bailey's (the coffee flavored kind),
1 part half and half
Peppermint Candy Cane around the rim
The mixology one is a bit more tame but traditional:

1 1/2 oz Vodka
Eggnog
