Pimping out your home bar with bar tools and liquors you need

Hey, peeps! This is a great tutorial for those just getting into bartending or those seriously getting into mixology.

Shakers

You definitely need a shaker. One of the most common shakers is the Boston Shaker which is really great for mixing thorough cocktails especially in the case of one that uses Egg Whites.

Jiggers/Shot Glasses/Spouts

You definitely need these handy to help measure how much you give to your patrons or guests. Learning to pour the perfect amount in a drink can make or break a cocktail. In most cases, a typical cocktail or shot is around 1.3 to 1.5 oz worth of liquor. 2.6 to 3.0oz is a double shot worth. Keep that in mind. A Jigger is great for putting your liquor into pour. Shot glasses are great for that, too. But they are mainly used just to take shots. It's best to use a shaker and make sure your liquor is cold or keep your bottle cold in the freezer then pour directly in the shot glass. Spouts, perfect for free pouring and doing different bartending tricks. Whether you come up with a basic long pour or some flairing, it definitely gets your audience going.

Muddler

A muddler is crucial for making different cocktails that require you to use oils, mints, etc for things such as Mojitos, Old Fashioned Cocktails and anything that requires you to mince things up to help create a cocktail.

Wine Tools

In case a friend or somebody wants some wine, you definitely need something to pop the cork. Wine glasses aren't really needed, but they are nice to have on deck.

Blender

This is really good for making your frozen cocktails like a nice Pina Colada or Strawberry Daiquiri. Always great to mix in your ingredients with ice to change not only the density but the flavor.

Juice Extractor/Ice Bucket

Always good to have a Juice Extractor handy when you want fresh juice from fruits instead of the pre-packaged stuff. Definitely makes for a better tasting cocktail with fresh ingredients.
An ice bucket goes without saying, I mean - you definitely need the ice cold and the cocktails cold!

These are some of the main things you need. There are probably some I left out, but with these you should do fine.

I'm going to also post videos on getting the right liquors together to build cocktails for your friends, patrons, etc. Check all that out below! Enjoy!
